About the Project
A 400-Year-Old Temple Calling for Your Devotion
Nestled along the divine Parikramamarg of Chitrakoot, the ancient Laxmi Narayan Temple stands as a forgotten sentinel of spiritual heritage. Built over 400 years ago by Panna Naresh, this temple once echoed with chants, rituals, and the footsteps of pilgrims walking the sacred path. Today, it stands weakened by time, neglected, and inching toward ruin.
Located near the revered laxman Pahari a mountain range steeped in local lore this temple is more than just stone and structure. It is a silent witness to centuries of faith, devotion, and culture. Yet, due to lack of maintenance, its sanctity is now at risk. Walls are crumbling, the inner sanctum is losing form, and this sacred space cries for revival.
Why This Temple Matters
Chitrakoot is a land sanctified by the presence of Lord Rama and countless sages. The Laxmi Narayan Temple is one of its hidden gems—a symbol of Sanatan Dharma’s timeless spiritual wisdom. Restoring it is not just preservation, but a sacred offering to our culture and heritage.
