About the Project
A 3,500-Year-Old Temple in Need of Devotion & Revival
In the heart of Wayanad, amidst the echoes of Edakkal Caves and Tuvarimala, stands the ancient Sri Rama Temple, a 3,500-year-old sacred site deeply rooted in India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. Unlike any other, this temple holds three sacred ponds, an ancient stone structure, and centuries-old rituals passed down through generations. However, time has taken its toll, and this divine place of worship now needs urgent restoration.
Why This Restoration Matters
This temple is not just a place of worship—it is a living connection to our ancestors, traditions, and the divine presence of Lord Sri Ramachandran. With the guidance of renowned spiritual leaders and temple architects, we are undertaking a sacred revival to restore its sanctity and structural integrity.
Our Three-Phase Restoration Plan
🔹 Phase 1: Strengthening the Foundation
Reinforcing the temple’s ancient stone structure to ensure its longevity.
Preserving the temple ponds that hold immense spiritual and ritualistic significance.
Keeping age-old traditions alive through guided renovations by temple acharyas.
🔹 Phase 2: Interior Revival & Beautification
Restoring the sanctum sanctorum, where Sri Ramachandran is enshrined.
Enhancing the temple’s intricate carvings and murals, preserving their historical and cultural importance.
Ensuring that rituals and sacred ceremonies continue uninterrupted during the restoration.
🔹 Phase 3: Prana Pratishtha & Grand Inauguration
Conducting the Prana Pratishtha ceremony, re-consecrating the deity with Vedic rituals.
Hosting a grand inauguration where devotees can witness the rebirth of this spiritual landmark.
Bringing the community together in prayers, bhajans, and celebrations, ensuring the temple’s energy is fully restored.
