A few weeks ago, a sudden and severe heatwave in the Chitrakoot region sparked a devastating fire that swept through Ram Janki and Hanuman Ji Mandir at Titahri Dhaam. Within hours, the entire temple structure was reduced to ashes walls collapsed, roofs caved in, and the sadhus' living quarters destroyed completely.
Only the Garbhagriha the sanctum housing the sacred murtis of Shri Ram and Mata Janki remained untouched, as if divinely protected amid the flames. A miracle, yes but also a message: the heart of the temple is still alive. It now waits for us to bring its body back.
Titahri Dhaam is no ordinary land. It is believed that Bhagwaan Shri Ram, Mata Janki, and Hanuman Ji stayed here during their vanvaas, performing deep austerity and dharmic tapasya. This mandir stood for generations as a living remembrance of that sacred time a quiet sanctuary of bhajan, japa, yagya, and uninterrupted sadhu seva.
Today, the fire has taken away the structure but not the spirit.
1. The entire mandir complex was destroyed, including sadhu shelters and prayer spaces.
2. The sadhus are now homeless, enduring the same scorching heat under open skies.
3. Without timely support, this ancient sacred site could fade into silence and loss.
With deep reverence and responsibility, Shiv Dhaam Foundation has taken a sankalp to:
1. Rebuild the Ram Janki and Hanuman Ji Temple with traditional Sanatani craftsmanship
2. Construct new living spaces for displaced sadhus
3. Restore daily worship, satsangs, annadaan, and sacred rituals
