The Archaeological Department states that the Shri Shri Tamreshwar Temple dates back to the 8th - 10th century.
It is situated in Deoriyapara village under Khairabari Revenue Circle in Udalguri district, Assam.
The internal area of Shri Shri Tamreshwar Temple spans 36 bighas. It also includes a large pond covering 10 bighas of land.
The temple sees thousands of devotees during the Shivratri Puja and Bol Bom festival. Devotees are increasing day by day as their wishes are believed to be fulfilled here.
The number of pilgrims visiting this Shaiva shrine is minimal due to the lack of infrastructure, which hinders providing adequate facilities.
The original Manikut and Namghar built from public donations many years ago have now severely deteriorated. With the growing number of devotees, it is intended to reconstruct the main Manikut and Namghar grandly, similar to other prominent shrines in Assam.
We seek your generous donations to restore Shri Shri Tamreshwar Temple to its former glory.
Contributions will go towards:
- Reconstructing the main Manikut and Namghar.
- Improving the infrastructure to accommodate the increasing number of devotees.
- Preserving this significant cultural and historical site.
Donate now to help preserve the rich history and spiritual significance of Shri Shri Tamreshwar Temple.
Thank you for your support in maintaining this sacred legacy for future generations.
